Cartoon Planet is an animated variety show that originally ran between September 10, 1995 and February 4, 1998, with a revival airing from March 30, 2012 to February 8, 2014. Both versions aired on Cartoon Network, with the former also airing on TBS and TNT.

A spin-off of Space Ghost: Coast to Coast, the original premise of Cartoon Planet was that Space Ghost had recruited his imprisoned evil nemesis Zorak and his noisy and clumsy arch nemesis Brak to help him put on a show. of varieties. Cartoon Planet began as an hour-long cartoon block hosted by the Space Ghost, Zorak, and Brak. They would feature entire cartoons from the Turner Entertainment library, including theatrical shorts from Warner Bros., theatrical shorts from MGM, and Hanna-Barbera cartoons, including the original 1960s Space Ghost episodes and Space Stars. Laugh tracks were added to both the 1960s and 1980s episodes.

Reruns of the original Cartoon Planet aired on Adult Swim during the summer of 2005, and again during the summer of 2006.

In 2012, Cartoon Planet returned as part of Cartoon Network's 20th anniversary. Zorak and Brak hosted the block. Space Ghost did not return as the producers did not have the money for George Lowe to reprise the role.[1] The revival also switched from cel animation and stock footage to Adobe Flash. The revival initially aired reruns of older Cartoon Network original shows before it started showing acquired third-party programming and more recent Cartoon Network shows. The block ended its run on February 8, 2014.
